N Scale Layout Design Model Railroad Planning Help.?

Model Railroad planning help.? - n scale layout design

Hello, I am currently a model that is about 3x3 meters possibility of extension to be built. IAM with particle board, but I'm not sure now if it's a good idea to do this, because I am in the rain for a day, but all dry now. Would it be better, instead of wood? Or simply with chipboard?

Plywood, if possible! With an N scale layout, even if you only 1 / 4 "plywood are, if you're in a very wet world

My current station is a concept of scale N-(2 'shelf area to run my 10' x 12 'room) and started with 1 / 4 "hardboard ... that was too flexible and is absorbed by the construction of the landscape from the water. Then He bought 1 / 4 "birch plywood, and it's terrible!

IA plates 3 / 4 "plywood disadvantages in 3" strips, then glue and screw it all together snapped.

Particle board is not only the right material for the design ... especially (pardon the pun) has been in the rain.

GOOD LUCK!

I would say, plywood, particle board, because it can ignite if it gets wet, and begin to lose stability. It is also to be if you count the addition of extensions more easily, the clips, nickel-plated screw around drawbacks. Over time, many tight particle board and loosen the screws only small holes.
Ply you with a good basis for more than robust. If you go to the countryside (such as mountains ...) with a kind of wet paper mache, could enter the particle board to build.

If you have to spend all this time to a beautiful design, you can also start with a good starting point!
